Cliberdoodle breeds 3 types of doodles:
- F1 Goldendoodles which have a golden retriever mom and a poodle dad
- F1B Goldendoodles which have a goldendoodle mom and a poodle dad
- Double Doodles which have a labradoodle mom and a goldendoodle dad
First bred in the 1980's in Australia, the doodle is a very lovable dog, known for their exceptional intelligence and trainability, low to non-shedding coat, low allergy coat, and low doggie odor. Doodles are sociable, friendly, non-aggressive,and extremely intuitive. Their intelligence and high trainability make them well suited for guide dogs, therapy dogs, and other assistance dogs.

What is the difference between a Goldendoodle and a Labradoodle?
American Labradoodles can have a very soft coat with low to no shed or a more coarse coat which sheds some but not as much as a Labrador.
Goldendoodles are more consistently very soft with low to no shed and have a little longer hair. They have a bit more "fluffy" appearance.
As far as temperament is concerned, both are excellent but do have slight differences -- the same way a Labrador and a Golden Retriever have slight differences.
All of Cliberdoodle's doodle puppies are very well socialized and loved from a young age. This will help them to bond easily and trust people.
Both dogs make excellent, loving pets!
We now offer Double Doodles, which is a hybrid of both a Goldendoodle and a Labradoodle.
+
Are all doodles non-shedding and hypo-allergenic?
No doodle breeder can guarantee this.
We have found first generation Goldendoodles to be good for most people with mild to moderate allergies.
We do not promise a 100% shed free dog or a completely hypo-allergenic dog.
F1B doodles or Double Doodles are recommended for those with allergies but there are still no guarantees.
+
Are doodles good with kids?
You bet!
Doodles were originally bred to use as service dogs for people with allergies.
They have a happy-go-lucky personality like a retriever and are also extremely intelligent.
They LOVE kids and other dogs but remember puppies do play and jump. A puppy at one year of age can weigh up to 50+ pounds -- please take this into consideration if you have very small children.
Also, all puppies need guidance and training. A puppy can only obey what you teach him to obey and a puppy will only learn when you take the time to teach him!

How much are Cliberdoodle doodles?
+
I've seen doodles in my local paper for $300 to $500. Why are Cliberdoodle doodles so much more?
- Health testing - We visit several specialists across the state several times a year. Each of our breeding dogs undergo several tests (x-rays, exams, and blood work) to ensure they are breeding quality and are free of genetic defects. We only breed dogs that pass all testing. Tests, such as CERF, need to be repeated every year.
- Quality breeding dogs with breeding rights are very expensive to purchase. Not every Golden, Lab, and Poodle should be bred.
- Quality care - Heart worm preventative, vaccinations, and quality food are very important.
- Doodle puppies require around the clock care. When they are newborns, we check on them several times during the night. As they grow, we spend countless hours socializing, handling puppies daily, and preparing them for a life in your home. Our doodle pups are cleaned up every day, bathed frequently and have their nails clipped weekly. Once the puppies are 4 weeks old, we start to litter train them which helps you with house training.
- Cliberdoodle doodle pups are microchipped, spayed or neutered, have their first set of shots, are throughly examined by our vet at least twice, and are dewormed several times before they leave us.
- We spend many hours providing weekly updates, pictures, and videos. We are quick to respond to email's and are here to help you and answer any questions you have before and after your puppy goes home.
- Health Warranty - We offer a full 2 year Health Warranty.

Does Cliberdoodle ship?
We do!
There is an additional charge and your puppy must be 8 weeks of age.
We will provide an airline approved crate to send your puppy in and also an extra vet visit. We will make all the arrangements.
Please give us plenty of notice.
We will also drive up to 2 hours to meet you if you live in Michigan, Ohio or Illinois.
+
Will Cliberdoodle keep a puppy longer than 8 weeks?
Yes, we will. Prior arrangements need to me made. A charge of $20 per day will be charged beginning a day past 9 weeks. We prefer that you pick up your puppy at 8 weeks but know that sometimes things arise and plans change.
If your puppy stays longer then 9 weeks, we will work very hard to house train your puppy and will also take your puppy to our vet should he need any additional vaccinations or vet care. The cost of the vet care is in addition to our per day price for boarding your puppy and is your responsibility (we will keep any vet receipts and give them to you when your puppy is picked up).
If an extended stay is needed, the puppy must be paid for in full by 6 weeks of age and 1/2 of the cost for the additional stay is due at that time as well. The remaining 1/2 for the extended stay is due when your puppy is picked up.
+
What is Cliberdoodle's Health Warranty?
Cliberdoodle offers a 2 year written Health Warranty against genetic defects. When you get your puppy, it will have been evaluated by our vet and will be healthy. You'll need to take your new puppy to your vet within a few business days to be evaluated. We love our puppies and want them to live a long and healthy life with you! We would never knowingly sell a puppy that has a health problem.

My puppy's ears are itchy. Do I need to clean them?
It is important that you regularly clean your puppy's ears. There are many things on the market that work well, but you can also use cotton balls and baby oil. Moisten the cotton ball with baby oil and squeeze out the excess oil. Gently rub the cotton ball around the outside of the ear and just inside the tip of the ear canal. You can use Q-tips to get down a little deeper, but be VERY careful -- you don't want to go too deep. Click here for an article as well as recipe's for homemade ear cleaners.
Whoever said you can't buy happiness, forgot about puppies! ~Gene Hill
